About Company & The Role

The host company is a Singapore-based venture catalyst that builds and connects ecosystems across education, technology, and industry in Southeast Asia.

This role sits in a Business Unit that curates immersive cross-border learning experiences in Southeast Asia. We work with schools and corporate partners to embed students inside real companies and real market environments through curated study trips, internships, and field projects, so students learn to operate across cultures and borders.

In this role, you will support lead generation and refine the Sales Playbook for our programs. 

 

Key Responsibilities

Market & Institutional Research

  • Research secondary schools, JCs, colleges, and universities in the US, Australia, New Zealand, and Hong Kong that are suitable for our programs.
  • Segment institutions by type, student profile, and overseas learning objectives.
  • Identify decision-makers such as international office leads, program heads, and mobility coordinators.
  • Build structured lead lists with a rationale for prioritization.

Pipeline Building & Lead Qualification

  • Use public sources, websites, LinkedIn, and databases to gather contact information.
  • Prepare background briefs on institutions before outreach or meetings.
  • Propose which institutions should be prioritized for outreach based on your research.
  • Support mapping of institutional approval processes and budgeting cycles where possible.

CRM, Tracking & Documentation

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date lead tracking sheets / CRM.
  • Track outreach status, follow-ups, and responses.
  • Document patterns from BD conversations, including objections and common questions.
  • Ensure clean handover of information to the supervisor and operations team.

Business Development & Meeting Support

  • Prepare pitch materials, reference decks, and briefing notes for outreach.
  • Qualify and shortlist leads with a clear rationale before handover to the BD team.
  • Compile concise background briefs on each qualified lead to support follow-up.
  • Ensure clean and structured handover of information for outreach and meetings.

Market Feedback & Insights

  • Summarize feedback from institutions to help refine program positioning.
  • Identify trends in institutional interest, concerns, and priorities.

Program Support

  • Support on-ground program facilitation when needed (e.g., welcome briefings, group facilitation).

  • Produced structured, prioritized lead lists with mapped decision-makers.
  • Clearly mapped decision-makers for target institutions.
  • Maintained disciplined CRM tracking with minimal supervision.
  • Prepared background briefs that directly supported BD meetings and outreach.
  • Identified viable institutional opportunities for Singapore programs.
  • Demonstrated initiative in suggesting which leads or opportunities to prioritize.

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • Must be comfortable speaking to groups. Experience in MC-ing, facilitation, student leadership, or public speaking is advantageous.
  • Strong ability to independently research, identify, and qualify potential leads and institutional opportunities using public sources, databases, and online platforms.
  • Comfortable working with spreadsheets, documents, and basic CRM tools.
  • Able to scan tender and procurement announcements to spot and qualify relevant business opportunities.
  • Curious about business development, sales, and partnerships.
  • Proactive, detail-oriented, and organized.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Interest in education, international programs, or cross-border initiatives is a plus.
