About the Role

We are looking for a Data Engineer Intern to support our Digital Transformation initiatives. You will learn how to build and maintain data pipelines, assist in data processing tasks, and contribute to modernizing Data systems under the guidance of experienced engineers.

Role and responsibilities:

  • Assist in building and maintaining data pipelines for processing structured and unstructured data.
  • Support data engineers in integrating data from various sources (including legacy systems).
  • Help monitor data quality, consistency, and reliability.
  • Participate in optimizing data storage and processing performance.
  • Collaborate with data scientists to prepare datasets for analytics and reporting.
  • Support basic real-time or batch data processing tasks.
  • Assist in documenting data workflows and system architecture.
  • Work with team members in agile development processes.

Requirements:

  • Final-year student or recent graduate in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or related fields. 
  • Basic understanding of data engineering concepts (ETL/ELT, data pipelines). 
  • Familiarity with at least one programming language (Python, SQL preferred). 
  • Basic knowledge of databases (SQL or NoSQL). 
  • Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS or similar) is a plus. 
  • Understanding of data processing tools (Airflow, Kafka, or similar) is an advantage but not required. 
  • Interest in AI/ML and data-driven systems is a plus.
  • Strong willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment. 
  • Good problem-solving and analytical thinking skills.

Preferred skills:

  • Familiarity with Git or version control tools 
  • Basic understanding of APIs 
  • Good English communication skills

Internship period: 1-12 months (flexible start and end dates).
