Operations Intern

As an operations intern, you will be assisting other senior team members in a multitude of activities, ranging from sales and marketing to employee engagement and development.
Role and responsibilities:

Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
a) Supply Chain
Planning:
- Support to conduct monthly forecast maintenance.
- Propose and implement solutions to improve demand forecast accuracy.
- Consider the forecast and inventory to suggest purchasing.
Procurement:
- Research and evaluate prospective suppliers.
- Document and assist with the purchasing process.
- Maintain and update supplier information such as qualifications, delivery times, product ranges, etc.
Warehousing & Distribution:
- Ensure daily warehouse activity is aligned with the SOPs.
- Ensure stock movements are recorded accurately.
- Prepare goods for transfer requests from stores, events, and e-commerce channels.
- Document work processes, suggest periodic process improvement
b) Sales Catering
- Create and manage documents required for the events
- Create new procedures (if needed) for organizing events
- Manage escalated on-site issues
- Coordinate and integrate all other operations within an event
- Work with other departments to ensure that all operational requirements of the events are fulfilled.
- Resolve escalated participants' enquiries regarding the events.
- Assist with the setup and teardown of events
- Input event PL and Check SCM
- Find new prospects, consult with customers to close the deals
- Manage the cost of consumable materials in each event to ensure the target margin.

c) Sales
- Plan monthly sales and give recommendations
- Work with external partners (food delivery platforms, ecommerce marketplaces, suppliers) to update menus, pricing, product information, etc.
- Conduct market research to find and connect us with potential business partner(s).
- Assist in planning and execution of promotions to drive sales potential
- Document work processes, suggest periodic process improvement
d) Marketing
- Conduct content planning and execute F&B events/promotions/ campaigns.
- Research and curate informative and engaging content for the website, blog, and social channels
- Provide support for the design team with photography
- Plan and write content on channels; respond to customer comments and messages on social platforms
- Coordinate with the Sales team to unify monthly and quarterly promotions and campaign schemes.
- Review performance on social channels and suggest solutions for improvement periodically.

e) Design
- Collaborate with the Marketing team to generate engaging F&B contents
- Design posts, edit short videos or gifs for social networks
- Take photos for social posts
- Design POSM (Point of Sales Material)
- Document work processes, suggest periodic process improvement
f) HR
- Assist and propose improvements for Barista and Intern recruitment
- Research and design training courses
- Organize and facilitate employee engagement activities
- Document work processes, suggest periodic process improvement

Requirements:
- A willingness to learn and grow
- Knowledge of the F&B industry and/ or customer service
- A genuine passion for coffee and delighting customers
- Well-organized, detail and result-oriented, and able to multitask
- A proactive and adaptive team player
- Proficient in various computer software such as Microsoft Office Suite, inventory management, order fulfillment, etc.

- Internship allowance is not available, but you will have a meaningful internship here!
- All internships are consultative. This means that both you and your supervisor will need to be proactive in discussing the details of the role, setting targets, and regular check-ins, both prior to arrival and during your internship.
- Internship period: 1–12 months (flexible start and end dates).
