Q. How Do I Hire An Employee From Vietnam To Work In Singapore?

Hiring an employee from Vietnam to work in Singapore involves multiple steps to ensure compliance with both countries' legal requirements. Let us help you navigate the various requirements and submissions so that you can focus on meeting your ideal candidates! From finding the candidates, securing Work Passes, and arranging for entry into Singapore, to compliance and reporting, we make sure your Vietnamese talents can start working for your organization as soon as possible.

Q. What is the salary range for talent in Vietnam?

Q. How long does it take to process applications for ITX?

The application process will be done within 3 weeks for most cases. Documents for the application (candidate’s educational certificates, passport page showing personal particulars, etc) will need to be submitted. If there are other supporting documents required, you will receive an email for the request of additional documents within 3 weeks. You may check the application status after 3 weeks.

Q. How long is the Training Employment Pass (TEP) valid for?

Under the ITX programme, the validity of the Training Employment Pass (TEP) is for 2 years. In the event of a situation where the talent is no longer under employment with your organization,  there are no penalties involved (eg; Talent choosing to resign, termination of talent due to poor performance, etc.)

Q. Can I apply for another Training Employment Pass (TEP) for the same talent after the 2 years is up?

If you would like to continue hiring the employee to work in Singapore, the employee will have to transit to a regular work pass (e.g. S-Pass or EP) and mainstream requirements (e.g., FCF, qualifying salary etc) will apply.

Q. Is there a quota for number of Vietnamese I can hire through the ITX programme?

No, as these talents will be issued with a Training Employment Pass (TEP), which will not affect the foreign worker quota. However, if the employee earns at least $3,000 or $3,150 (from 1 Sep 2024), they will be counted as PMETs under COMPASS C3 and C4.

Q. Is there a levy fee?

There are no levy fees for talents who hired as part of the ITX programme. Only application and pass issuance fees apply, payable to the issuing bodies - Talent JDI does not collect any application/pass issuance fees.
